Tell us a bit more about yourself and your organization:
Baseline is a solidarity cooperative based in Québec, specializing in responsible artificial intelligence. We support businesses—primarily Québec SMEs—in increasing their efficiency and enhancing their social impact through the power of AI. As a cooperative, our goal is to contribute ethically to the integration of AI solutions into the innovation processes of local enterprises.
What motivated you to join RICI, and how does your participation contribute to cooperative innovation?
We joined RICI because we believe in the strength of collective action to advance innovation rooted in human and social values. Artificial intelligence raises significant ethical, economic, and organizational challenges. Being part of this network means helping to build bridges between technology and the cooperative model, ensuring that innovation emerges within a more inclusive, democratic, and sustainable framework.
What is your vision of innovation, and how does it influence your involvement in RICI?
For us, innovation is above all a tool in service of the common good. It must be grounded in the human and social realities of the environments where it is implemented. This commitment drives us to collaborate, to document our practices, to make AI accessible to all, and to develop projects based on real needs. It is this vision that we hope to bring to the network.
